The Consumer protection act 1986 provides following remedies to a wounded consumer

(i)                  Return of price paid by the customer

(ii)                Payment compensation for any monetary loss or injury

(iii)               Removal of defects in goods and services

(iv)              Replacement of defective products with new ones which shall be free from any defect.

(v)                Discontinue the unfair trade practices.
